OSKALOOSA, Iowa – Benedictine Women's Basketball limited William Penn University offensively on Saturday afternoon en route to an 81-49 win.

Jennifer Jacobs sparked the Ravens first-quarter run that finished at turned a 4-3 lead into a 20-3 advantage at the end of the opening quarter. The Ravens scored 16 unanswered as they held the Statesmen scoreless from the floor for the last 9:29 of the quarter.

Benedictine maintained their lead to start the second quarter with 5 free throws before Riley Bruggeman connected on a 3-pointer with just over three minutes left to put the Ravens up 28-13. By the end of the quarter, the Ravens held a 20-point lead.

Lauryn Dubbert gave Benedictine its largest lead of the third quarter with just under four minutes at 24 points before Benedictine took a 56-36 lead into the fourth quarter. 

Even with a sizable advantage headed into the final quarter, the Ravens scored their highest quarter total with 25 points in the fourth quarter as they pushed their lead to as much as 34 points before earning the 32-point win.

Dubbert led the Ravens in scoring with 19 points, followed by Jacobs with 15. Josie Weishaar added 19 while Carmen Morales led a bench scoring effort that outscored William Penn 29-0 with 9 points.

The Ravens wrap up their regular-season road scheduled on Wednesday, traveling to Baldwin City to take on Baker University at 5:30 p.m. They will return to the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium on Feb. 22 with a Noon tipoff against Grand View University to close the regular season.
