Benedictine Women's Lacrosse opens up the postseason today at 5 p.m. with a home semifinal game in the Heart Championship.
The Ravens enter their sixth postseason in program history as the No. 1 seed in the first-ever Heart tournament as they host No. 4 seed Culver-Stockton College on Legacy Field at 5 p.m.
Benedictine enters the game with an overall record of 8-3 while Culver-Stockton enters at 6-6. In their regular-season meeting this season, Benedictine earned a 20-10 win over the Wildcats in Canton, Mo.
This year's Heart Semifinals marks the second-ever meeting between the two schools in a conference tournament. Benedictine hosted Culver-Stockton in the 2021 KCAC Championship Quarterfinals on April 17 where the Ravens earned a 27-1 win.
Benedictine enters the postseason with an overall conference tournament record of 12-1 with their lone loss coming in the 2017 KCAC Tournament Championship when Ottawa University beat them 10-9. Culver-Stockton is making its third overall conference tournament appearance and is 0-2. They suffered a 17-2 loss to St. Ambrose University last season in the KCAC Tournament Quarterfinals.
