Volleyball wrapped up their part of Family Weekend with their second win in two days on Saturday morning, beating Graceland 3-1 inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.
After the Yellowjackets won the opening set 26-24, the Ravens rattled off three straight 25-16, 25-19, 25-15, to earn the win.
The Ravens finished the match at .285 on their attack percentage with a total of 56 kills. Regan Bruggeman led the way with 16 kills, followed by Joslyn Lewis with 12 and Sabrina Oncins with 11. Haley Cahill and Marissa Mantz split time setting up the offensive attack. Cahill finished with 27 assists while Mantz added 20.
Defensively, the Ravens recorded 16 block assists and 60 digs. Maggie Schoening led the front row with 5 block assists, followed by Lewis with 4 while Maura Lickteig and Bruggeman added 3 each. Kristijan Istuk anchored the backline with 13 digs while Mary Pat Taylor finished with 10. Oncins and Katelyn Malick each recorded 8 digs to round out the defensive effort.
Benedictine returns to the road on Tuesday with a trip to Baldwin City to take on Heart rival Baker University at 7 p.m. They return home on Friday to host Evangel University at 7 p.m.
