Volleyball hit the road on Friday and Saturday for their first road matches of Heart play as they took on Missouri Valley College and (12) Central Methodist University. They dropped their match to Missouri Valley, 3-2, on Friday before suffering a sweep at the hands of CMU, 3-0.
Against the Vikings, the Ravens finished with 45 kills. Katarina Vojvodic led the way with 17 kills while Mahala Sewell added 9 kills. Katelyn Malick helped set up the attack with 28 assists while Ellie Biedenstein added 12.
Defensively, four Ravens finished in double digits in digs. Megan Luby led the way with 14, followed by Regan Bruggeman and Kristijana Istuk with 12. Malick added 10.
Against the Eagles, the Ravens were limited to just 22 kills. Bruggeman anchored the attack with 9 kills while Sewell added 6. Malick finished with 15 assists.
Defensively, Istuk led the backline with 9 digs while Bruggeman added 7.
Benedictine continues their seven-match road swing on Tuesday with a trip to Baldwin City to take on Baker University at 7 p.m.
