Rob Herringer returns to the helm of the Men’s Soccer program, entering his 12th season for the Ravens. Coach Herringer begins a second stint on the Benedictine sideline in 2026. Across his previous 11 seasons (2005–2015), Herringer established the program as a regional powerhouse and a perennial national contender, compiling a remarkable 115-36-20 overall record alongside a dominant 54-19-9 mark in conference play.
Championship Pedigree & Coaching Excellence
Under Herringer’s guidance, the program achieved historic milestones, including capturing three Heart of America Athletic Conference Regular Season Championships (2009, 2012, 2013) and a Heart Tournament Championship in 2012.
On the national stage, Herringer led his squads to three NAIA National Tournament appearances (2009, 2012, 2013), highlighted by runs to the Round of 16 in both 2009 and 2013. Reflecting his commitment to holistic student-athlete development, his 2009 team was also honored with the prestigious NAIA National Champions of Character Team Award.
Herringer's excellence on the sidelines has earned him widespread peer recognition, including Heart Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year in 2009, 2012, 2013; the Kevin Gray Kansas City Coach of the Year Finalist in 2013; Bellevue East High School Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee in 2017; and the United Soccer Coaches Mike Berticelli Excellence in Coaching Education Award in 2023.

Beyond the collegiate ranks, Herringer is highly respected within the broader soccer landscape as a top-tier educator and executive. He holds the United Soccer Coaches Master Coach Diploma and a US Soccer "A" License.
His extensive professional portfolio includes serving as the Head of North American Recruitment, Education, and Mentorship at Challenger Sports, the United Soccer Coaches Director of Coaching, and the Executive Director of the Elkhorn Soccer Club.
Raven Roots
A proud Benedictine alumnus, Herringer enjoyed a standout playing career for the program from 1996 to 1999, earning First-Team All-Conference and NAIA All-Midwest Region honors during his senior campaign in 1999. He earned his Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education, later returning to complete his Master’s degree in Educational Administration.
A native of Bellevue, Nebraska, Herringer lives with his wife, Cymbre (Costello), a fellow Raven, and their son, Connor.
