Dakota is in his ninth year as a full-time staff member and his eleventh year overall at Benedictine College. His primary responsibilities include coordinating and producing all home sporting events, while serving as the primary voice of Raven Athletics. In addition to his broadcasting and event duties, he supports various functions within the Sports Information Department and teaches Sports Broadcasting I for the Journalism and Mass Communications Department. He also served as the primary voice for the Heart of America Athletic Conference Baseball Championships from 2021 to 2025.

A native of Hoisington, Kansas, Dakota earned his Bachelor of Science in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcasting and a minor in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University in December 2014. He later completed his Master of Business Administration at Benedictine College in 2017 while working as a graduate assistant in the Sports Information Office.

Dakota resides in Lawrence, Kansas, with his wife, Megan, and their dog, Thunder.
