TOPEKA – Benedictine Track & Field wrapped up its final regular-season event on Friday and Saturday competing in the Ichabod Invitational hosted by Washburn University.
The weekend was highlighted by Brynna Gormley setting a new school record in the 200 meter and Men's 4x400 meter relay team of Titan Osborn, Will Benson, Caleb Degroot and John Phillip Butler breaking the program record as well.
The new record for Gormley now sits at 25.32, while the new 4x400 meter relay record sits at 3:21.29. Gormley enters the Heart Indoor Championships with the sixth-best time in the event. The 4x400 meter relay team enters the Heart Indoor Championships with the fifth-fastest time in the event.
Elizabeth Skendzel placed third in the 5,000 meters to round out the top performances for the Raven Women at the meet.
The Men's Distance Medley placed second in a time of 10:24.16 consisting of Will Nideree, Will Benson, Sam Buerschen and Joshua Melendez. Jace Ohlson placed third in the pole vault while Cael Wilson placed sixth to round out the top performances for the Raven Men.
The annual Heart Indoor Track Championships returns to Maryville, Mo., and the campus of Northwest Missouri State University starting on Friday and wrapping up on Saturday afternoon.
