Box Score DUBUQUE, Iowa – Benedictine Women's Basketball earned its third straight win to open up 2026 on Saturday, scoring 33 points off turnovers en route to a 77-68 win over Clarke University.
The Ravens led wire-to-wire on Saturday and forced the Pride into 24 turnovers that led to a 33-10 advantage in points off turnovers.
Benedictine opened up the game with a 3-pointer from Nicole Storck. The Ravens finished the game with a total of 8 3-pointers, setting a new season high for made 3-pointers on the road.
After Clarke closed to within 2 points with 3:30 left in the quarter, Benedictine closed out the quarter on a 9-0 run that stretched their lead to 11 points by the end of the quarter.
Benedictine's run continued into the second quarter on a 3-pointer from Riley Bruggeman, followed by a jumper from Makayla Baughman that pushed the Ravens lead to it's largest of the half at 16, 28-12.
After the Pride snapped the Ravens scoring run, the used a run of their own to pull within 6 points but that's allow the closer they would get as Benedictine outscored Clarke 9-8 to lead 41-32 at the half.
Clarke came out of the halftime break and held Benedictine to just 3 points through the two minutes of the second half only to have the Raven score 5 straight to pull back ahead by 10. A layup from Oen Deters with just over a minute remaining in the quarter pushed Benedictine's lead to 13 – its largest of the second half before the Ravens took a 57-47 lead headed into the fourth quarter.
The two teams combined for 41 points in the fourth quarter, but Benedictine remained in the lead throughout. The Ravens connected on 7 of 8 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter while matching the Pride with 6 field goals.
Three Ravens scored in double figures, led by Bruggeman with 23. Nicole Storck finished with 17 while Deters added 10. Baughman and Kelli Storck added 8 points each
Benedictine returns home for two straight, hosting Baker University at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday for Student Appreciation Night.
