SALINA – Benedictine Volleyball wrapped up a three-match week with its second win over a member of the KCAC on Saturday, beating Kansas Wesleyan University 3-2.
Benedictine opened Saturday's match with a pair of 25-15 wins before the Coyotes won 26-24, 25-22 to force a fifth set. Benedictine capped off the win with a 15-12 win to move to 6-7 overall this season.
Lucy Drexel led the attack with 17 kills as three Ravens finished in double figures. Barbara Terra added 16 while Bridge O'Sullivan finished with 14. Wren VanCleave anchored the attack with 49 assists as the Ravens finished with a .184 attack percentage.
Defensively, Kelly DeMeulenaere led the back line with 37 digs while Van Cleave added 10. JoJo Vander Woude finished with 2 solo blocks and 3 block assists. Rayleen Gladden and O'Sullivan finished with 2 block assists each.
Benedictine has off until Friday, Sept. 26 when they open up Benedictine's Family Weekend with a 7 p.m. match against Mount Mercy University.
