KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference has announced that Benedictine College will serve as the host site for the 2026 Men's and Women's Lacrosse Conference Championships. All Semifinal match ups and both Championship games will be held at Legacy Field on the Benedictine campus.

"We are excited to have a conference championship return to campus," said Benedictine College Athletic Director Charlie Gartenmayer. "Legacy Field is a great facility to showcase the best lacrosse our conference has to offer during the postseason and we are looking forward to welcoming in the programs who qualify this year."

The 2026 championship format introduces a new structure for Heart lacrosse. First-round contests will be played at higher-seeded campus sites, with winning teams advancing to Benedictine for the Semifinals on April 30, 2026. Championship games for both men's and women's lacrosse will follow on May 2, 2026. 

"We're looking forward to bringing both lacrosse championships to a single neutral location for the Final Four and Championship rounds.," said Heart Assistant Commissioner Madison Lantz-Farris. "This updated format allows us to centralize operations and create a consistent experience for our student-athletes and fans. We appreciate Benedictine's partnership in hosting these events for the 2026 season." 

Legacy Field offers a full turf playing surface with lights, 480 chair-back seats, an on-site press box, four locker rooms, a training room, two suites, and a team video room. Warm-up accommodations include multiple turf fields and a grass area adjacent to the primary field and press box. The complex also features three large parking areas to support team and spectator access along with a Videoboard scoreboard combination.

Additional details—including game times and ticketing information—will be announced in early 2026.
