KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time this season, Benedictine Wrestling has earned weekly Heart honors.

After posting a 7-0 record between two events at home on Friday and Saturday, Benedictine's Christion Griggs has been named the second Heart Men's Wrestler of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.

Griggs opened the weekend with a 3-0 record at the annual Loosbrock Duals beating opponents from Lyon (Ark.), Barton Community College and Otero Junior College. He followed that up with a 4-0 mark on Saturday as the annual Service Salute Invite hosted by Benedictine.

He won each match over the two tournaments by either fall or tech fall, capping off the Service Salute with a 21-4 tech fall win over teammate Rance Ridley.
