The morning after rolling to their second Heart win of the season, Volleyball dropped its first conference match on Saturday morning to Mount Mercy, 3-1.
The Mustangs limited the Ravens attack, finishing the match with 34 block assists while the Ravens attack finished at .112.
The Ravens rallied from a first-set loss to win the second set 26-24 before the Mustangs won the final two sets 25-21 and 28-26.
Mary Pat Taylor led the Ravens attack with 12 kills while Regan Bruggeman added 11 as the only two Ravens to reach double figures. Amber Allen finished with 32 assists as the team finished with 48.
Defensively, Taylor finished with 26 digs while Hokuloni Sagapolu added 16. Evelyn Arreola rounded out the back-line defense with 12 digs. Maura Lickteig finished with 6 block assists and 1 solo block while Sagapolu and Taylor added 3 block assists.
The Ravens remain at home on Tuesday with a varsity, junior varsity doubleheader against MNU. The JV match is scheduled for 5 p.m. while the Ravens will take on the (RV) Pioneers in a 7 p.m. varsity match.
