CANTON, Mo. – (RV) Benedictine Volleyball earned a 3-0 sweep against their final Heart North opponent of the regular season on Saturday, beating Culver-Stockton College on the road.
Benedictine finished the match hitting .225 as a team with a total of 40 kills as they earned their fifth sweep in Heart play and their fifth against their cross-division opponents.
Mary Pat Taylor and Maur Lickteig led the Ravens attack, finishing the sweep with 8 kills each. Lickteig hit .538 while Taylor hit .238. Carolina Zapata added 7 kills while Regan Bruggemen finished with 6 to round out the offensive attack.
Amber Allen anchored the offensive attack, finishing with 30 of the Ravens 38 assists.
Defensively, the Ravens were led by Taylor Evelyn Arreola with 12 digs each. At the net, Zapata finished with 2 of the Ravens 6 block assists.
Benedictine opens up their second half of Heart South play as they remain on the road Tuesday for a trip to Olathe and MNU. They return home to host Baker University on Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. as part of Homecoming Weekend.
