LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Cross Country program traveled down south for the Live in the Lou Cross Country Classic on Saturday, an event hosted by the University of Louisville.
The No. 19-ranked Raven women took 15th out of 47 schools and were the 4th-highest NAIA school to finish the event. The Raven Men took 33rd out of 45 schools while running their fastest average time of the season.
Led by a season-best performance by Caroline (18:52, 67th), the Lady Ravens were able to run their fastest average time of the season of 19:16. Mary Rolwes (18:54, 71st) and Lily Menghini (20:02) recorded personal best. Natasha Ortiz placed 93rd with a season-best time of 19:04.
The Raven Men broke the school record with their average time of 26:07. David Mannella led the way with a season-best time of 25:17 and placed 57th. Joseph Accurso (25:45), Gabriel Friess (26:08), Thomas Campbell (26:55), and Sebastian Michael all ran personal bests.
Both teams return to action on Oct. 14 when they compete in the Hornet Harrier Invitational at Emporia State.
