Seven earn 2021 All-KCAC honors for Women's Lacrosse

WICHITA, Kan. - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2021 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Team late Wednesday, and the (4) Raven Women's Lacrosse team was well represented on the team that was voted on by the women's lacrosse head coaches.

The Ravens earned the regular-season conference title after compiling a perfect 10-0 record in KCAC play. There was no conference regular-season champion declared in 2020 (due to COVID-19 shutdowns), so this marks the fifth season in a row in which the Ravens won the regular-season crown and their fourth outright championships.

Head Coach Amanda Magee and midfielder Natalie Wechter headlined the All-Conference selections for Benedictine. CoachMagee earned Coach of the Year honors for the fifth time while Wechter was named the Offensive Player of the Year for the second time after taking home the honor in 2019.

Clare Ryan, Erica Odell, Megan Ostrander, and Erin Rauber joined Wechter on the first team. Wechter was listed twice on the first team this season as both a midfielder and draw specialist. Aidan McEnerney and Molly Muehlebach earned second-team honors to round out the All-Conference selections for the program.

Benedictine entered the conference tournament outscoring their opponents 232-38 with four players with 30 or more goals. Wechter led the way with 45, followed by Muehlebach and McEnerney with 32 while Ryan added 30. Odell gave the Ravens five players with over 25 goals as she scored 26.

The Ravens are hosting the 2021 KCAC Lacrosse Championships on Legacy Field this season where they will compete for the conference automatic berth in the 2021 NAIA Women's Lacrosse National Championship Tournament - the first official championship for the sport at the NAIA level after Women's Lacrosse gained full championship status last year.
