The (4) Raven Women's Lacrosse team used 39 shots to score 25 goals en route to their sixth KCAC win of the season Saturday.
Benedictine beat KCAC newcomer Culver-Stockton 25-0 on Legacy Field to remain unbeaten in conference place.
Clare Ryan gave the Ravens the lead 10 seconds into the game on an assist from Natalie Wechter. Benedictine never looked back and by the midpoint of the first half, they kicked in the running clock when Molly Muehlebach scored off an assist from Aiden McEnerney to make it 10-0 Benedictine.
The Ravens led 14-0 at the half while holding a 23-0 advantage in shots and forcing 18 first-half turnovers by the Wildcats.
McEnerney led the Ravens in scoring with 5 goals while Muehlebach and Ryan finished with 4 goals each. Wechter and Erica Odell added 3 goals each while Rianna England scored 2. Elizabeth Conley, Grace Simonson, Tara Olinger, and Megan Rossmann scored 1 goal each to round out the scoring effort. Wechter led the team with 5 assists while Rossmann and Ryan added 4. Muehlebach, McEnerney, and England added 2 assists while Conley finished with 1.
Gianna Stalletti earned the win in goal for the Ravens playing the first half. Rebecca Wichman played the second half and recording one save as the Ravens finished with a 39-1 advantage in shots. Defensively, the Ravens forced the Wildcats into 26 turnovers finishing with 6 caused turnovers. Megan Ostrander and Ryan finished with 2 caused turnovers each.
The Ravens are off until April 1 when they travel to Dubuque, Iowa, to take on Clarke University.
