The (4) Raven Women's Lacrosse team earned a pair of road KCAC wins over the weekend, beating Morningside College on Saturday in Sioux City, Iowa, and then Midland University on Sunday in Freemont, Neb.
Benedictine earned a 26-0 win over Morningside and then a 20-1 win over Midland to move to 4-0 in KCAC play.
Against Morningside, the Ravens ran their scoreless streak to 120 minutes with their second straight shutout of the season. They limited Morningside to just three shots and one shot on goal en route to the win. Benedictine forced 17 Morningside turnovers and finished with 9 caused turnovers. Erica Odell finished the game with three caused turnovers while Molly Muehlebach added two.
Natalie Wechter got the Ravens on the board inside the first 30 seconds of the game. Wechter would finish with a game-high 5 goals while recording 2 assists. Grace Simonson put the Ravens up 10-0 with just over 19 minutes left in the first half to kick in the running clock. Simonson would finish with three goals.
Aiden McEnerney, Rianna England, and Clare Ryan scored 3 goals each. Muehlebach, Anne Marie Mannella, Odell and Megan Rossman scored two each while Gemma Weinberg added a goal. England and Ryan recorded 2 assists while Elizabeth Conley, McEnerney, Tara Olinger and Odell added an assist each.
Benedictine finished with a 40-3 advantage on shots with 35 shots on goal.
Against Midland, the Ravens ran their scoreless streak to just over 143 minutes before the Warriors tallied their lone goal with 6:55 left in the first half.
McEnerney got the Ravens scoring started inside the first minute of the game. Simonson scored off an assist from Rossmann with just over 21 minutes left in the first half to kick in the running clock and make it 10-0 Ravens.
Benedictine finished with a 40-2 advantage in shots with 22 shots on goal. Wechter, Odell, and Ryan led the scoring with 3 goals each. Conley, Simonson, Muehlebach, Mannella, and England added two goals to go with McEnerney's one. Wechter and Odell recorded 3 assists each. Rossmann added two while Mannella, McEnerney, England, and Ryan added one each.
The Ravens return to Legacy Field for a 4 p.m. game on Thursday against KCAC opponent William Penn University.
