BALDWIN CITY – Baker University used a shot from 35 yards out to pull ahead of (20) Raven Women's Soccer on Wednesday and held on for the upset, knocking off the Ravens 2-1.
Riley Degner scored the Ravens loan goal during the 22nd minute of the match. The Wildcats scored the equalizer during the 52nd minute before adding what proved to be the game-winner during the 62nd minute.
Degner and Rachel Beffa led the Ravens with two shots each as they finished with 10 as a team.
Baker keeper Gabby Elliott finished with three saves as the Ravens were limited to just four shots on goal. Olivia Berry finished with four saves for the Ravens as the Wildcats finished with six shots on goal.
Benedictine wraps up the regular season on Saturday at 5 p.m. on Legacy Field with Mount Mercy University. The program will honor its Seniors at halftime.
