OLATHE – The Raven Women's Soccer team matched up with the MNU Pioneers on the road Wednesday and played to a 2-2 draw.
Benedictine held a 2-1 lead into the 87th minute when MNU pulled even and then neither team was able to break through offensively through two golden goal periods to end the match in a draw.
The Ravens struck first when Emma Strecker fed Riley Degner for the first goal of the match during the 14th minute. That lead stood through halftime and into the 57th minute when MNU pulled the match square.
Natalie Duque put the Ravens back in front during the 64th minute when she scored off a pass from Degner.
Olivia Berry went the distance in goal, playing all 110 minutes for the Ravens. She finished with six saves while giving up two goals.
The Ravens are off now until the return to the road on Oct. 27 to take on Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. Saturday's home match with Clarke University has been postponed until Nov. 14 at the request of Clarke University.
