Women's Soccer records first shutout of 2016 over Missouri Baptist University

ST. LOUIS – The No. 4-ranked Raven Women's Soccer team took to the road on Saturday for the first time this season and returned with a 5-0 win over Missouri Baptist University.

Olivia Meyers factored in on three of the Ravens five goals as she scored two unassisted goals while assisting on a third as the Ravens rebounded with a strong win over the Spartans.

Benedictine netted their first goal of the match during the 18th minute when Rosie McShane scored off an assist from Anna Romano.

Meyers first goal came next during the 39th minute and close out the Ravens first-half scoring efforts.

McShane scored her second goal of the match during the 58th minutes off Meyers' assist before Meyers added her second goal during the 68th minute.

Emily Ambuul wrapped up the Raven scoring when she scored off an assist from Abby Kwapiszesky during the 89th minute.

Ellen Loughman and Kaitlin Hintz combined for the shutout in goal. Loughman recorded two saves in just over 82 minutes in goal while Hintz added a save in just under eight minutes of action.

Benedictine finished with a 29-5 advantage in shots and a 17-3 advantage in shots on goal.

The Ravens return home on Sunday for a 5 p.m. match against No. 18 Hastings College.
