Tip Off: No. 18 Benedictine wraps up the 2015'-16 regular season at home today as they host No. 15 Central Methodist University in the NAIA Network Div. I Women's Basketball Game of the Week sponsored by Stretch Internet. CMU beat Benedictine 63-58 in Fayette, Mo., back on Jan. 11 as they handed the Ravens their second loss in Heart play. Today marks the 48th meeting between the two programs since Benedictine joined the Heart for the 1992-'93 season. The Ravens are 14-0 this season while CMU is 10-1 on the road.
About CMU: Led by first-year head coach Mike Davis, the Eagles have already clinched the Heart Regular Season Championship with a two-game lead over MNU with just today's match up with Benedictine remaining. The Eagles rank third in the NAIA in points per game at 81.2, which also leads the Heart. They are No. 2 in 3-pointers per game with 8.8 and ranked third in total 3-pointers with 238.
About Benedictine: Benedictine returns home looking to rebound from an upset loss to Grand View on Wednesday in Des Moines. The Ravens have not lost back-to-back games since February of 2015 when they lost to Baker and MNU on Feb. 12 and 14. The Ravens currently have a 18-game home winning streak that was started after that same Baker loss. Benedictine ranks second in the NAIA in total 3-pointers with 247 and they are fourth in 3-pointers per game at 8.5. They rank fourth in scoring defense this season, limiting their opponents to 53.3 ppg through 29 games.
